A couple of months ago on Instagram, I mentioned that we were going to be making some changes to our family room… mostly décor related updates. We have started that process and the real star of the show is our new rug. A couple of months ago, I was introduced to the concept of a washable and spillproof rug via Tumble. I must say, it’s something I wish I would have known about and should have tried out sooner. For pretty much whatever stage of life you’re in, messes and spills are going to happen… it’s just to what degree and frequency. With two little boys and a dog, there’s always the chance of some kind of mess being tracked into or through our family room and that’s why I am so excited about our new floor addition by Tumble… for a multitude of reasons, I’m in love!
When looking at new décor/design choices, I knew I wanted to anchor this space with a new rug. Personally, I like to add pops of color while building on a more neutral base. My plan was to add blue touches to this room and when I found this rug, I knew it was exactly what I wanted to build upon. For someone wanting to add subtle color, this washable rug adds interest while still being relatively neutral overall and allowing other accents to pair in nicely! Aside from the beautiful colors and pattern, the quality and texture is fabulous. Bodie has told me multiple times how much he loves our new rug and how soft it is. Each Tumble washable rug meets safety standards to be non-toxic and comes with a ¼ inch thick, non-slip rug pad for extra comfort. The pad is non- porous and won’t absorb any liquid helping to further protect your floors. All rugs are washable (just throw it in your washing machine), as well as spillproof. If a spill occurs, the liquid beads up on top of the rug instead of soaking into it so it is easily wiped away. I purposefully spilled and tested this claim and can confirm that is 100% true! Talk about a rug that can really stand up to daily wear and tear, as well as bigger accidents. I touched on it earlier, but with kids, pets, (husbands haha), and snacks… a rug like this is invaluable. Happy mama, happy wife and, as you can see from the pictures, happy littles as well. When it comes to fashion and interiors, I’m all about functionality without sacrificing style and am happy to say that Tumble delivers! And alllll the ladies said, “AMEN!” haha.
