I love elements about each of the seasons but, deep down, I’m a summer girl through and through. I think it ties back to my roots of growing up in Tampa and in South Alabama. I grew up near the coast and warm weather is just what I’m most used to. Summer styling is always so fun to me because of the bright colors and beachy vibes. I love layering accessories and complimenting outfits with straw and woven pieces. After not traveling at all last year, I have three late summer beach trips on the books and can’t wait to pack some of these looks in my suitcase. PS: There are lots of low price options in this roundup of summer outfits. Walmart has some really chic looking pieces right now, y’all, and I can’t get enough.
Summer Styling Tips:
1. Invest in staples and spend less on trendy pieces that may or may not still be popular this time next year.
2. Use accessories and shoes to make your outfits pop and change your look up while keeping your main clothing pieces more on the simple side.
3. Own at least one classic, black swimsuit. Add a pair of tortoise sunglasses, pearl earrings, woven tote bag, and studded jelly slides and you’ve got an easy (and timeless) resort look with minimal effort that you can sport at the beach with your kids or lounging by a pool in Palm Beach.
Hope your summer is off to a great start! xoxo.
