I’ve mentioned it before, but I started really swapping over to clean beauty products a few years ago when I found out I was pregnant with Bodie. Most of that has remained as part of my routine whether I’m pregnant or not. However, I’m especially aware of ingredients when I am pregnant and try and be extra conscious of what I’m putting in my body during those nine months. Today, I’m sharing my pregnancy safe skincare routine and the products that I use most. There are a few others that trickle in, and obviously this list doesn’t include makeup, but these are my go-to products right now (and generally when I’m not pregnant as well).
Spoiled Mama Favorites:
Tummy Butter
Indulge Body Polish
Bump and Body:
When it comes to bump and body care, my three favorite products are this scrub, this butter, and this oil (PS: I’ve got an entire post reviewing my thoughts on The Spoiled Mama products (find that here)). I honestly am so obsessed with the Indulge Body Polish… it’s my ride or die. The Tummy Butter is great too because it’s thick and nourishing, and a little goes a long way. You can use code KARIS15 for 15% off your purchase of $40 or more on The Spoiled Mama website. As far as oils go, this Mother’s Special Blend from Amazon is my favorite and I love this Native body wash. As far as body lotion goes, I just use some that are fragrance free (Bodie’s skin gets real agitated with scents). I’ve been trying this Pipette lotion and really like it. At night, I slather my hands in Aquaphor or the Pipette Baby Balm before sleeping because they’re so dry!
I do use clean and aluminum free deodorant as well, but it took me some time to find one that I liked and that I thought actually worked well. I love this one by Kopari in the original coconut scent. The smell is divine and the texture is fantastic. I have been trying The Clean Deo by Beautycounter (soft rose is my favorite) over the past couple of months and am really liking it too. Currently using both of these… just depends on my mood haha. The Kopari for sure has a smoother glide-on texture if that’s important to you. The Beautycounter is in beautiful packaging and refillable.

Face:
For my face, I pretty much eliminate using peels and masks (with the exception of the Pipette) and keep things fairly simple and use mostly Beautycounter products on my face.
Night: In the evenings, I wash my face using the Countermatch Refreshing Foam Cleanser. I’ve tried lots of Beautycounter cleansers over the years and this one is hands down my favorite! On days I wear makeup, I double cleanse and use the Counter+ Lotus Cleansing Balm to remove my makeup before actually washing my face. It really gets rid of all the build up and makes sure my cleanser can really go to work. About three times a week, I use this Pipette Brightening Mask. It works to brighten, even skintone, and prevent discoloration that can sometimes appear with pregnancy. It’s designed for pregnancy and postpartum, so it’s nice to not have to worry about it containing ingredients that are often found in masks that are not always safe during pregnancy. There’s no reason to limit this product to just pregnancy though, it’s honestly amazing and I look forward to it. The price point is great as well. I finish my night routine with this Codex Beauty Bia Eye Gel Cream (it’s so soothing and lightweight) and the Countermatch Adapative Moisture Lotion. I recommend this moisturizer for any skin type at any age. It’s a fantastic universal moisturizer and it’s velvety soft and moisturizing without being slimy. I finish with this Beekman1802 Pure Goat Milk Lip Balm or Carmex when my lips are super chapped.
Morning: My morning routine is simple and sweet. I use the Codex Beauty Bia Eye Gel Cream to help calm my usually tired and slightly puffy eyes. Next, I use the Counter+ All Bright C Serum. Cannot recommend this product enough (pregnant or not). It truly brightens and sets the stage for glowing and radiant skin. A lot of vitamin C products have made me breakout in the past, I’m so glad I’ve finally found one that doesn’t. PS: You always want to choose a vitamin C serum that has at least 10% potency and this one does. I end with the Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion and this Beekman1802 Pure Goat Milk Lip Balm (great value pack here). Whether or not I apply makeup after just depends on the day and what I have going on.
**This post is a little older, but it lists out a lot of other Beautycounter products I typically use… I just simplify and eliminate while pregnant. This one is more recent and has really good product info too!
PS: If you don’t have a Beautycounter consultant, I’d love for you to shop with me and am happy to help you if you have any questions or want personalized recommendations (or samples).

I hope this was helpful. Other than the bump products, most everything on this list is not technically for pregnancy, they’re just clean products that don’t contain questionable ingredients if you’re extra mindful of that while expecting. Like I mentioned earlier, the majority of these are products I use whether I’m pregnant or not. Feel free to reach out with any questions about this pregnancy safe skincare routine.
xoxo.
