In the midst of a very uncertain time when everything seems to be unknown and the world is going nuts, I’m here with a completely frivolous post featuring my spring wishlist items. I can’t turn on the TV anymore right now, so rounding up some fun, spring finds was a good escape for me today. March is my birthday month and I typically feel like I have a bit more of a “treat yourself” attitude. I’ve been saving up for a few items and was given a couple of gift-cards for my birthday and, with all the sales going on right now, poking around online is a bit more enjoyable than usual (for the distraction and the prices). Find my notes on each item below.
One: This tray is just so lovely and I’m loving the acrylic and gold detailing. It would be perfect for a coffee table or on a dresser or bathroom countertop.
Two and Three: This swimsuit is darling and a great price. My favorite swimsuit from last year was a high-waisted bikini by this brand and held up wonderfully. I’m excited to give this on a try as well. The cutouts on the sides are so cute. Here’s to hoping that we will all be able to get outside with our friends by the summer!
Four: I had been stashing some money away for a bit to get these sneakers and decided these were going to be my birthday present to myself. Y’all, I’m obsessed. They’re still pricey for sneakers, but are not as expensive as Golden Goose. After trying both brands on, I was hooked on P448. These are insanely comfortable and go with everything. I waited until I could get them on sale and then pulled the trigger. Right now, this exact pair is on sale. If you’ve been thinking about “luxury, destroyed sneakers”, now is the time and I cannot recommend this brand enough. They fit TTS.
Five: These are a great statement earring for spring and summer. They’re currently 60 dollars off the original price too. All of my jewelry from this designer is such good quality and makes up the majority of the pieces I wear daily.
Six: These are fun. It’s the best spring take on the wide leg denim trend I have seen. Pair with a white blouse and you’ve got a classic yet trendy feminine look.
Seven: Designer dupe alert. These rockstud jelly sandals are so similar to Valentino. These are a great way to add some flair to your pool look or your daily, white tee and jeans ensemble.
Eight: Good color, good graphic, on sale… I”m snagging this one to wear with biker shorts (sorry, Luke). I really like this one too.
Nine: This chambray dress is darling. I love light chambray, especially in the spring. Pair it with espadrilles (remember these that I posted a couple of weeks ago?) and you’ve got a classic look. Also, it’s $25. This dress is a similar style, but long-sleeve option that comes in several colors for $19.
Ten: I’m hoping and dreaming of warm weather trips (maybe in a couple of months) and this tote is on my list. It’s a glamorous take on the standard straw bag and I’m all about it.
Eleven: Chunky gold hoops are everywhere right now. I have my staple gold hoops that I wear all the time (here), but they are thinner and I’m thinking I want to try the chunky trend. These are a great, on-trend piece that will go with everything.
Twelve: A splurge pair of denim, but this brand is so high-quality. I bought my first pair (here) back in October and they are my favorite jeans. Right now, these are on sale (and I have some gift-cards on top of that), so I’m going to grab this pair as well, as they aren’t distressed like my other ones from the brand. Here is a similar style by Topshop that’s also on sale but for much less.
Thirteen: Remember my Budget Friendly Swim Look post from last year? It was one of my most shopped posts of 2019 and for good reason. I’m going to grab this suit again in the lemon print for this summer. It’s under $25 and comes in a multitude of prints and colors.
Fourteen: I love my Countermatch facial moisturizer and use it daily, so I have no doubt I will enjoy the body version too. Right now, Beautycounter is offering 10% off your purchase making it a great time to try some new products. If you’re interested in other skincare options, find my Skincare Routine post here. I’d be thrilled for you to use me as your consultant at checkout, but there’s no pressure to do so at all because you can shop on your own without one. Let me know if you have any Beautycounter related questions… I’d be happy to help.
Fifteen: This color gets me every time… I’m such a sucker for pink. This top can be worn a few different ways and would be fabulous with white jeans. It also comes in white and black and is $26.
Sixteen: I love this bag. It reminds me of a purse my Mimi had that was made of shell pieces. It’s a different take on your typical tropical, summer clutch and would go with a variety of outfits.
Seventeen: We’ve been doing a few home projects and sprucing up some different spaces in the house. I’ve needed a few lamps with the re-do and fell in love with this one. Honestly, this lamp is very versatile and can compliment a variety of tastes and styles.
This is pure frivolity in the grand scheme of what is going on in the world and I recognize that, but it’s a nice little escape and a bit more of a “normal” tone to the craziness of our day-to-day right now. Hang in there, y’all. Happy Weekend (or whatever day it is since they’re all running together haha). xoxo.
