If you like to pack a little punch with your outfit, you’re probably already on the animal print train. But have you tried snakeskin? My family has referred to me all too often as “The Leopard Lady” and if I’m being honest, I could definitely think of worse titles. Unless you’re new around here, you already know how much of an affinity I have for leopard print and have no hesitation incorporating that pattern into my regular outfit rotation. However, I was very hesitant try the snakeskin trend. For a long time, I was somewhere between kind of liking it and thinking it was tacky. I would see some pieces that were cute and some that, in my opinion, were poorly done. I wasn’t sold for quite some time. As you can see in these pictures though, I got over my shyness and tested the waters jumped right in (there’s nothing shy or subtle about knee-high snakeskin boots).
I wanted to go ahead and share these boots right away as they are currently on sale and less than $90 (much cheaper than many others on the market). The heel is good, not too high or too low, and they are very comfortable to walk around in. I love the designer and am never disappointed in his styles or the quality of products.
While I don’t think you’ll see me pairing a snake-print bodysuit with jeans any time in the near future, I’m enjoying incorporating this trend by way of footwear. Keep your outfit simple and relatively neutral and these can certainly elevate your entire look. They’re especially good during the winter season when we tend to gravitate toward a more dark and tonal wardrobe anyway.
If you’re hesitant to play with this print like I was, give it a try on your feet… you may be surprised just like I was. xoxo.
