[…] **This post is a little older, but it lists out a lot of other Beautycounter products I typically use… I just simplify and eliminate while pregnant. This one is more recent and has really good product info too! […]
I have had a few requests to share my skincare routine and what products I use on a daily basis. Honestly, this flattered me beyond words. A lot of you know that I have used Beautycounter now for almost two years and am huge fan of the products and mission behind this company. You can read more about that in this post here. I really believe that a skincare routine can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be. Some girls have fifteen steps, some have one, and some fall in between. I feel like my skincare routine is a relatively simple process. Reading through this post, it may not appear so… but really, it is. I alternate things on different days so it’s not quite as hardcore as first glance scroll. Just your basic cleanse and moisturize with a few extras that I add in depending on the day. I’m going to break it down by my night and morning steps.
Today seemed like a great day to share this routine and products, as Beautycounter just launched their biggest sale of the year…15% off sitewide AND free shipping over $50 (the real winner during this sale because BC rarely does any shipping discounts).
If you decide to stock up or even if you’re trying something new, I’d be thrilled for you to shop with me as your consultant if you don’t already have one. You can search my name, Karis Salyers, at the checkout phase to double check you’re placing your order with me as your girl. It would mean the world!
PS: If some of my products look slightly different than the ones on the site, it’s because packaging has recently been updated and I just still have old bottles, tubes, etc.

1. CLEANSE:
Cleansing Balm: I LOVE this product. I use this to double cleanse if I have had on makeup during the day. I’ll apply this balm and let it melt away my makeup and then proceed to wash with my daily cleanser. This balm can also be lightly applied as a mask at night for intense moisturization. I do this rather frequently during the winter months when the heat is on and dries my skin out even more than normal.
Cleanser: I almost always use the Nourishing Cream Cleanser, but am currently finishing up a bottle of the Rejuvenating Cleanser. Both of these are amazing cleansers for daily use and clean without stripping your skin. Unfortunately, the rejuvenating cleanser is going to be discontinued at some point in the future as the Countertime line has kind of taken over that role. So I would not recommend getting too attached to it.
Exfoliatior: Every other night, I will use the Nourishing Cream Exfoliator instead of my cleanser. You don’t ever want to exfoliate your skin too often, but this one is mild enough to use 2-3 times per week. It really helps to smooth your face and slough away dry skin and junk buildup, all while cleansing and leaving your face feeling conditioned and refreshed.
2. TREATMENTS AND EXTRAS:
Overnight Resurfacing Peel: This is my favorite skincare product!! Nicknamed, “Botox in a Bottle”, it delivers the closest thing to immediate results that I’ve ever seen in a skincare product. I apply this every other night before I moisturize. The next morning, my skin feels tighter (in a good way) and looks smoother/more even. This peel features a proprietary, multi-acid complex. It’s a leave-on AHA/BHA peel that improves skin texture and boosts clarity without irritation or over-drying. I haven’t talked to anyone who has tried this product and hasn’t absolutely loved it. If I could only recommend one “extra” skincare product to incorporate into your routine, it would be this one.
Countertime Tripeptide Radiance Serum: I use this product every other night (that I don’t apply the resurfacing peel) before moisturizing. It’s part of the new Countertime line that features a safer approach to retinol by using a plant-derived Retinatural complex. It fights the appearance of aging and lines and enhances skin’s moisture barrier.
SOS Acne Spot Treatment: This is just a spot treatment to put on a blemish when it pops up (no pun intended). It works wonderfully to decrease inflammation/redness and speed up the healing and disappearing process. If I have a bump or problem area, I apply this to it (before anything else) and let it do its’ magic. I’m a huge fan of this product and cannot recommend it enough. Bonus points because this little tube lasts a really long time!
3. MOISTURIZE:
Countertime Tripeptide Supreme Cream: This product is also composed with the retinatural complex I mentioned earlier and is so rich/luxurious when applied. I have dry skin and this cream moisturizes very well overnight for me. It’s been said to give La Mer a run for it’s money, which is high praise based on the reputation that cream has carried for so many years. But what does this cream have that La Mer doesn’t? Like all Beautycounter products, it’s formulated with clean ingredients. Clean ingredients that actually deliver results. No junk on your skin and into your body, just high quality products that work! I love that I’m moisturizing my skin and preventing signs of age every time that I use this cream. Also, the packaging is pink… so there’s that!
Nourishing Eye Cream: I love this eye cream (totally forgot to photograph it… oops). It keeps the skin around my eyes from drying out and provides wonderful hydration. The skin around our eyes is so delicate, so an eye cream is a must. My Mimi was a firm believer in a good eye cream, so she started me on them a long time ago. After my tube of this runs out, I’m going to try the Countertime Ultra Renewal Eye Cream because I’ve been hearing amazing things about it.

*I don’t wash my face in the morning. Some people do, some people don’t… and I just don’t.
1. MOISTURIZE:
Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion: I love this moisturizer so much and, even though I use the Countertime supreme cream at night, I choose to use this one during the day. It sits on the skin so nicely. It moisturizes without being too heavy. The bio-mimic technology adjusts hydration levels throughout the day. It gives your skin just what it needs and nothing that it doesn’t. I recommend this product to everyone who is looking for a universally good moisturizer. It’s lightweight, never greasy, and pairs perfectly with other treatments like serums and oils. I’ve yet to hear from someone who didn’t love it!

2. TREATMENTS AND EXTRAS
No. 3 Charcoal Facial Mask: Chances are you’ve seen or heard of this mask. It’s a bestseller and, as far as masks go, an over-performer. If you like instant results, you’ll want to try this product for yourself. You can literally see the impurities being pulled out from your pores (“ahhhh” and “ewww” all at the same time). I use it about once a week and my face feels so refreshed after. It’s a great detox for your face.
Facial Oil: I have the go and glow mini set of the three oils (now is the perfect time to grab these as this set is only offered this time of year and is a great price for trying all three). A lot of women swear by using their facial oil daily. I personally really like them, I just don’t use them every day. They’re kind of like a treat product to me (I love rolling them in with my jade roller). My favorite is the No. 3 Balancing oil. It helps to even out and restore balance to your skin tone. Think of a facial oil like a vitamin boost for your skin.
*I only use the mask once a week and the oils on random.
Just in time for holiday gifting, Beautycounter has released some limited edition sets. These are always a great way to test a few products too. Give one as a gift or you know, maybe just to yourself. Here are some of my favorites:

I truly love this company (mission and products) so much and think you might too. xoxo.
