Raise your hand if you’re glad college football is finally back. Y’all, I am BEYOND PUMPED! We’re entering into the best time of the year, am I right? Game day Saturdays and the need desire to snack seem to go hand in hand. In the fall, if we aren’t at a game, we frequently host people at our house or go to someone else’s home to watch games. No matter where we end up, I always like to have some kind of snack ready to go. The majority of the time, I’ll either make a dessert (these are a great and easy option) or this chicken dip. It’s super easy and always a hit (not the healthiest, but Saturday is a great cheat day, no?). Three ingredients whipped together and a box of Wheat Thins and viola— an easy peasy, yummy game day snack. Whether you’re heading to a tailgate or watching football with friends, this recipe is sure to be enjoyed by many!
Game Day Chicken Dip:
Ingredients:
- 1 block of cream cheese
- 1 ranch packet
- 2 cups of chopped/shredded chicken or 1 can of chicken (12.5 oz)
*I have used the canned chicken many times, but frequently use rotisserie chicken leftovers if we have it on hand. If you use the canned chicken, make sure to drain the water first. You can also cook your own chicken breasts and shred it (just more of a time commitment).
Directions:
- Allow cream cheese to soften at room temp for a couple of hours or soften in microwave.
- Mix softened cream cheese, chicken (drain water if using canned chicken), and ranch packet together by hand or with a hand-mixer.
- Cover and refrigerate for a few hours.
- Enjoy!
What’s your game day go-to munchie? Hope you have a fabulous long weekend filled with all the football and snacks your heart desires (I mean if that’s your thing of course). PS: War Eagle. xoxo.
