I popped a peak at this floral embroidered dress on my Instagram stories last Saturday and was overwhelmed with how much y’all loved it. It reassured me that I had made a fabulous decision with this purchase (another winner from ASOS)… because it really was love at first (online) sight.
I am without a doubt filing this dress under “favorite ever.” The dainty fabric, the embroidery, the colors… it’s all the feminine things I love, but with a flare. When I saw this dress online a few weeks ago, I was SOLD. I was actually looking for dresses to wear for my maternity shoot (more on that session in a couple of weeks… dying 😍) when I saw this one. While it wasn’t the look I was going for in my maternity photos, I was obsessed with it for wearing to just about anything else and knew I wanted to wear it to all the things for the rest of forever. Dramatic much, Karis? I know, but I was that smitten. I ordered the maternity version before I even realized there was a non-maternity option as well. Luckily, the fit of this dress should still be fine even after my baby bump is gone (worst case scenario, I’ll just have it tailored a bit).
I wore this embroidered beauty to my baby shower this past weekend and was so pleased with the fit and comfort of it. It’s actually a two-piece set (a slip and a sheer overlay). Even though it is a maxi and has long sleeves (fabulous understated, bell sleeves might I add), it’s not hot because the overlay is sheer. I wore my faithful muted, blush mules and added my favorite summer bag (you’ve seen it before here… such a great designer dupe).
If you’re debating it… get it. It’s to die for in person. These photos were taken at the end of a very long day, in a heat index of about 98, and not in the original planned location. So I can promise you I’m definitely not doing this dress justice ha. Linking the maternity and non-maternity option for you below. xoxo.
