With Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner, chances are you may need a quick and easy holiday dessert idea. No worries, I’ve got you covered. This pie is so easy to make, only requires a few ingredients, and is customizable depending on what fruit topping you’re in the mood for. Today, I’m sharing blueberry (that’s what I almost always do), but you can do cherry, strawberry, etc. My mom has been making this pie for years (I stole this recipe from her) and my dad and I have always loved it. If you need a last minute recipe to contribute to a family meal in the upcoming days/weeks, this is for you!
Easy Cream Cheese (Blueberry) Pie:
Ingredients:
- 1 graham cracker pie crust (8-9 inch)
- I can (14 oz) of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 block of cream cheese
- 1/3 cup of lemon juice
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- 1 can of fruit pie filling (I use blueberry), chilled.
*You could totally make your own fruit filling/topping if you’re fancy, but I am not that haha.
Directions:
- Soften cream cheese and then mix until smooth.
- Add in condensed milk and blend together.
- Add in lemon juice and vanilla while mixing.
- After well blended, pour mixture into pie crust. Chill in fridge for a few hours.
- Add fruit topping and serve.
*The wording is slightly misleading, but the pie filling is actually the topping.
* You don’t have to put the entire fruit filling on top. You can also just put it in a little serving bowl and allow people to add their own based on personal preference amount.
