ASOS Try-On

February 19, 2020 in Fashion
asos try-on

Hi friends! I’m doing an ASOS try-on with some pieces that I ordered last week. I’m not keeping everything, but I tried it all on anyway and figured I would post it so you can see. ASOS has always been a go-to shop for me for event wear. A few other times you’ve seen me wear ASOS on the blog: MATERNITY PHOTOS, FALL FAMILY PHOTOS, MATERNITY CLOTHES. Their styles are unique and their prices are good. For this order, I purchased lots of different pieces in hopes of finding some things to wear from my brother-in-law’s wedding weekend in May. I think I’m still going to hunt for a dress for the wedding, but pretty sure I’m going to wear the coral jumpsuit to the rehearsal dinner. I’m also just keeping a few of the dresses to wear to different things this spring and summer.

I did a try-on on of these pieces on Instagram stories last week and saved it to my highlights, which gives a little more detail about the fit of each item. All of these pieces are on sale, which makes the good finds that much sweeter haha. Enjoy this little ASOS try-on and let me know your thoughts.

A few things to note:

*In general, I think ASOS runs a little small. I typically order size small, 4, or 6 depending on the fit and what’s in stock. If it’s a tighter style, I’ll do size 6, a looser or normal style, I’ll go with a size 4.

*Sale items usually sell out fast so, if you see something you like, grab it now. Shipping and returns are free!

*I had a serious sinus infection when I did this try-on and didn’t really style the whole look. I more or less just put on the dress and took a picture. All of these would be so much cuter when fully styled with the right shoes and accessories (and fixed hair haha).

*Everything desperately needs to be steamed, so please ignore the wrinkles.

Lace/Scuba Dress (wearing size 6)

I really wanted this dress to work. I love it. It’s a fantastic fit, but just too short for me in the back. I’m almost 5’8.

Pink Velvet Midi Dress (wearing size 4)

Mint Green Jumpsuit (wearing size 6)

Blue polka dot trapeze dress (wearing size 4)

Black lace overlay dress (wearing size 6)

This one is sadly too short in the back as well. Love the drama of the lace sleeves though!

Lilac purple flower dress (wearing size small)

I added the belt at home. It’s super flowy and darling without a belt as well.

Coral halter jumpsuit (wearing size 6)

I think I’m going to wear this to my brother-in-law’s rehearsal dinner. It’s definitely dressy enough and the material is great. Also, it has pockets… always a win. I think a size 4 would fit better, but I like the length of the pants so I’m going to keep this on and just get it taken in around the neck and waist.

Leopard jumpsuit (wearing size 4)

This is so fun for spring and summer and can be dressed up or down!

Emerald green silky dress (wearing size 6, exchanged for a 4)

Pictures and video cannot do this one justice. It is fabulous in person!

Floral printed black and pink dress (wearing size 4 tall)

This one works, even though it’s a mini dress, because it was from the “tall” collection. This is another one that is so much cuter in person.

Lilac bandage midi dress (wearing a size 6)

This can be worn off the shoulder as well. I love the scallop detailing. It’s a very flattering fit, but be warned that it is tight!!

Black overlay swiss dot dress (wearing size small)

I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Would look a lot better styled with the correct shoes.

Coral scuba maxi dress (wearing size 6)

This dress is an interesting fit. The size 6 is big up top, but it’s really tight through the mid-section so I don’t want to size down. There’s a gorgeous split up the back with a ruffle detail.

Light blue polka dot scuba dress (wearing size 4)

It’s a scuba material dress so it’s tight. This print/cut combo just isn’t my style.

Tie-Dye silky wrap top (wearing size 6, exchanged for a 4)

I love all things tie-dye right now and this is a great dressier piece. I was kind of torn about the wrap style with this top and thought about chopping it off, but I think I’ll keep it as is. What do you think?

Let me know if you order anything. xoxo.
