Hi, friends! It’s been a while since I’ve posted on the blog… like almost a month. Honestly, we have had so much going on, and a lot of that has been unexpected, so I just haven’t had time for this (and I’ve missed it so). Hopefully I can get back on track ASAP! As most of you probably know, Luke and I recently took a trip to Las Vegas. My last post was actually a packing post for that trip (view that here). I received tons of comments and questions about a particular swim look I wore out there, so I decided to dedicate a blog post to it. I’ll preface this post by saying there isn’t a whole lot of variation to these pictures because I was honestly just trying to get one shot for Insta. But, I’m guessing you don’t mind too much and just want the pricing, fit, and retailer details, so let’s get right to it. Overall, the whole look is very budget-friendly, with nothing besides the jewelry priced above $22.
Kimono coverup: This piece is so fun, and I think it’s a total steal at just under $15. It comes in a variety of different prints, but this style drew me in. It’s so punchy and goes with just about anything. As an added bonus, you can also wear this with jeans or denim shorts… it’s definitely not limited to being a coverup only. It comes in one size only, and it should work great for pretty much everyone out there.
Swimsuit: This is another item that comes in lots of different prints and colors. I love the fit, style, and price of this swimsuit. I’m super into the high-waisted, high-leg, 90’s-throwback trend that’s having a moment right now, so getting this suit was a no-brainer. I will say, it is a little cheeky… but is very flattering overall. It fits true to size.
Sunnies: You know I love my heart-shaped sunglasses. I now own them in both black and white. They’re just under $12 and are such a fun and sassy accessory to add to any outfit.
Roll up visor: I love this thing. I actually got mine from TJMaxx for $7, so you may want to check yours to see if they have it there. Even if not, it’s available in a variety of colors for only $17. Especially if you’re traveling this summer, this is a great piece to have. Because of the roll-up feature, you can achieve the floppy hat vibe without taking up the space of packing one in your suitcase.
Jelly sandals: These look designer, but they’re only $18. Holla! I’ll have to report back and let you know if they hold up longer than just this season, but because of the low price, they’re not a huge investment, and you can at least enjoy them for the remainder of this pool/beach/lake season. I’m typically a true size 8, but I purchased an 8.5 in these. You can also purchase these in a nude color as well.
Pool Bag: You can’t really see it much in these pictures (again, didn’t think I was taking pics for a blog post), but the pool tote I carried is an iridescent “mermaid” material. Because it’s kind of all colors without being any specific color, it goes with most everything. It’s a great size for toting your summer essentials: sunscreen, a book, a water bottle, snacks, etc. It’s also under $10, which is an added perk.
A quick note on accessorizing. Vegas is probably one of the only places I’ll wear jewelry to the pool (other than studs). I wore two of my favorite Kendra Scott pieces (these hoops and this necklace). I also am never without an Invisibobble on my wrist. Do you wear jewelry to the pool? I won’t make a habit of it, but it was kind of fun!
Let me know if you have any additional questions about this swim look. It was one of my favorite outfits I packed for my trip to Vegas and I plan on wearing it a bunch more this season. xoxo.
