Luke and I are heading out to Las Vegas for a few days soon and I thought I’d share what I’m packing in my suitcase for the trip. We’re so excited to go… it’s somewhere that’s always been on both of our lists. If you’ve been and have recommendations, I’d love for you to send them my way. We went out west (Arizona) about this time last year and I was shocked at how different the desert heat is sans humidity. It’s scorching, but in such a dry way. Needless to say, I’m packing up lots of summer essentials as well as some fun sparkly pieces because #Vegas, am I right?! Even if you aren’t headed to Vegas anytime soon, most of these items would be perfect for any other summer vacation or event you may have planned over the next couple of months.
One: It’s been a minute since I’ve worn a one-shoulder top, but I feel like they’re making a comeback & I’m here for it.
Two: How cute is this little palm-print romper? It’s under $20 and would be great for a morning coffee run or even a swimsuit coverup.
Three: You can always sign me up for leopard print. This sassy suit is made with that super comfy ribbed material and is lined in blush pink. The top has padding, but it does run a little small so size up.
Four: At only $22, I had no problem getting this very Vegas specific dress. It also comes in black and green.
Five: Get these jeans. They’re a perfect non-stretch slim skinny. Not too tight, not a mom jean. Highly recommend. The fit is so good.
Six: If I’m going to be out in the sun, you had better believe I will have some of this sunscreen on. Safer ingredient sunscreen is a summer (and desert) must-have.
Seven: I’m all about the high-waist, high-leg suit trend. It’s very 90’s and I dig it. These bottoms run TTS.
Eight: This acrylic clutch comes with a gold chain and it’s hot pink inside. It holds the necessities and is under $30 btw. Yes please.
Nine: I’ve been wearing this headband non-stop since I got it a few weeks ago. I love that it’s wide and has the knot detail on top. It comes in black as well.
Ten: The colors in these sandals basically make them a neutral. Perfect for everyday wear.
Eleven: These shorts are bomb, y’all. They’re a great cutoff without letting your buns hang out. You’ll be finding me in these all summer long.
Twelve: My MIL gave me these as part of my birthday gift back in March. I have loved wearing them. They are the perfect accessory to add a little color to your outfit.
Thirteen: These look designer, but they’re not. This is an elevated take on the typical jelly sandal and is wonderful for pool days.
Fourteen: Pink, floral, and sequins… need I say more? Pair this with light wash denim, a white silk cami, and strappy heels and you’ve got an low effort swanky, summer outfit.
Fifteen: You’ve seen this tote many times before around here. I love it that much and almost always travel with it. Here’s the insert I purchased to go inside to help keep my things organized.
Sixteen: I customized this pair of Kendra Scott earrings with my birthstone (light blue illusion at KS) and they’re a great statement piece without being too much. Seventeen: If it’s hot outside, you can find me running around in my overalls. Even when I was pregnant I found myself a pair. Remember these?
