Can you believe we are already at the end of July? It’s nuts. Summer has flown by. Little Man and my belly have been growing like crazy. I’m now 32 weeks and baby boy is the size of a squash (3.75ish pounds and around 16 inches). There’s still a lot to do to get ready, but Luke and I are both so excited for his arrival in a little less than 2 months. Even though I’ve always been a pink kind of girl, I have found myself being more and more drawn to blue and green hues lately (probably from thinking/looking at all things little boy). Today, I’m sharing one of my favorite new pieces from PinkBlush and giving you a quick 32 week update on what’s been going on since entering the third trimester 4 weeks ago.
It’s no secret that I’ve been living in dresses lately, and this Mint Green Floral Knot Front Maternity Midi Dress (which is really blue and not green in my opinion) is one of my favorites. I think what I love most about it is that I would wear this dress style even if I wasn’t pregnant (and I could because it also comes in a non-maternity version). I was especially drawn to this one because of the midi-length and pastel coloring. It’s floral, feminine, and chic, but still hints that I’m toting around a little boy in my belly with the color, don’t ya think? I have a couple of more showers coming up and there’s a good chance I may wear this outfit to one of them. PS: I had actually been in the car driving for about 5 hours shortly before shooting this look. Between sitting so long in the car and the heat outside, I was pretty swollen when we took these pictures. Even with swelling (that dreaded third trimester beast), I still found this dress to be super flattering and think it would be on a variety of body types. The tie knot around the top of the waist gives a some shape if you feel like you’ve lost most of it with your baby belly.
This dress is from PinkBlush, an amazing online boutique that offers trendy maternity clothes for the modern mother. They also have a huge selection of nursing-friendly, non-maternity, and plus-size clothing, as well baby and toddler pieces. I have legitimately loved every item that I have received from this shop. I purchased the softest maternity jumpsuit (feels like you’re wearing t-shirts sheets) back in May and wear it a minimum of once a week, but I think my favorite of all of their clothing is the huge selection of Maternity Dresses. There are so many great options that are both stylish and, in my experience, super comfortable.
Now, on to a quick 32 week update.
So far in the third trimester I have…
- Passed my glucose test. Hallelujah.
- Finally selected nursery curtains, a new rug, and ordered the furniture. I kept changing my mind.
- Been having the craziest, most vivid dreams. I am tired of this haha.
- Had a decrease in my appetite. Probably because I’m running out room.
- Been even more crazy about Luke than normal. He’s been such a servant and gets so excited about baby things. I can’t wait to see him become the greatest dad to our son.
coming up in the third trimester i need to…
- Paint the nursery… this should be happening over the weekend. Woo!
- Wash Little Man’s clothes… doing baby laundry will without a doubt make things really sink in.
- Pack our hospital bags… hoping he continues to cook, but you never know and I want to be ready.
- Go to 2 more baby showers… we continue to feel so loved on and blessed. It’s just the sweetest time.
- Take maternity pictures… this is coming up in a few weeks and I can’t wait to see how they turn out.
Thanks for stopping by and reading. Happy Thursday. xoxo. This post was in collaboration with PinkBlush. All opinions are my own.
