If you look closely, you may see a little bump starting to pop out of this ridiculously comfortable “little black dress” (Hi, Little One!). Baby is the size of a mango now and is starting to make himself/herself visible. I keep joking that, although I love Chick-Fil-A more than the average person, my belly is more than just chicken nuggets and frosted coffee right now haha. I’m currently stuck in that awkward “Is she pregnant or did she just eat too much” stage, but I’m trying to just take these changes and seasons as they come.
This dress is not technically maternity wear, but it’s so stretchy that it works beautifully for pregnant girls. My mentality has been to buy as few maternity clothes as possible. Since the “struggling-to-fit-into-
If you’re not pregnant, this dress is still fantastic. It’s fitted, but ruched in the middle so it’s very forgiving/form-flattering, even after too many tacos or one too many scoops of ice cream (I’m often guilty of both). I snagged it at Nordstrom Rack about a month ago and have played around with styling, but adding a longer cardigan has been my favorite so far—I love the tight and loose contrast.
This dress style has been super popular over the past year or so, and I can totally see why. It’s available in lots of different colors and with varying sleeve lengths. Now, let’s move on to more important matters. The Preds’ Round 2 playoff series starts tomorrow night. I would have never expected to be a serious hockey fan, but since we moved to Nashville three years ago, I’ve gotten totally addicted. Luke and I are really missing our old season tickets this time of year, but, you know… house, baby, “priorities” (or something like that). I kid, I kid. Hope you all have a lovely weekend. Go Preds. Happy Friday eve, friends! xoxo.
